This is not the end
Feb. 21st, 2018 10:01 pm [It had only been a few months ago that they'd left The Edge, then they had to deal with Drago...and everything that came with him...
Berk was almost completely destroyed, people were injured, and the Chief was lost. Recovery is going slowly. But, they're all working hard. They're Vikings. They have stubbornness issues.
....Most of all, the new Chief. Hiccup's been working himself hard to try to get everything back in working order. Oversee repairs. Restock on supplies. Check the wounded. Make sure the new dragons don't get in the way of rebuilding. Finding a place for said new dragons. They'll definitely need to expand the dragon stables...
He doesn't want time to think. He wants to stay busy. Look after his people, like his father would have done... A Chief's first duty is for his people.
He just never wanted the job this early...Not this way. And completely throwing himself into the job, is the only way he can keep from dwelling.]

Modern Dragon au
Jul. 14th, 2015 02:27 pmWhen science and technology started to grow stronger than magic, the creatures of magic all decided that for their safety and the safety of magic and "myth" as a whole, they would all go into hiding. Those with human forms did this fairly easily, but those without had undergo drastic changes.
Hiccup, was one of the last dragons remaining in the world. Most of the others had been slain by "heroes" or sellswords trying to make names or gold for themselves. He himself had lost a leg to one, and had many scars. He took on the form of a human, cutting himself off from the thing he loved most. Flight.
Now he he spends a decade or so in one place, trying to fit in, before moving on to the next. Though he looks perfectly human, he still smells of smoke, and still bears the scars of his dragon form. Of his previous life.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He likes to work in places with heat. Usually kitchens or coffee shops or old fashioned blacksmiths. Places where smoke and steam are common place.
Has an eye for gold and shiny things. Can be very easily distracted by the shine off a piece of jewelry or wind chimes..Or even the shine off golden hair.
Quite the old fashioned gentleman. He always treats women with respect, almost like royalty. And God help you if he sees you mistreating one. Remember. The old stories were all of Dragons protecting Princesses...
Whenever there's a moment to spare, he can usually be found watching the sky. Or more specifically, the birds flying there.
